Find the real essence of nature at bullo river station

When Stanly planned for the visit to Bullo River station, the first reaction of her girlfriend is, “Hey, are you creasy?” But after spending almost the week there Elena laments why the booking was for only 5 days. The charm of Bullo river lies here in the totally isolated area of the River. You may north see any other human being there except the inmates and stuffers. The great forest will usher you in a silent welcome, with the sound of the birds, the crushing of the twigs.

Hours together, you may sit unperturbed in a place and draw the purest form of oxygen to yours lung’s content. If you feel like this, you will miss a lifetime opportunity if you have failed to visit this pristine place, where Bullo River flows to the Victoria. A sublime experience all together. At the same time, for the passionate anglers, the Bullo River appears to be the greatest place under the Sun. Feel the vibe of catching the throbbing Barramundi of 20 pound, pose with it, and your child will feel proud of you in days to come.
Sportfishing are the greatest allurement of the station. The pain of travelling such a remote place can be taken for this reason only. Besides, the authorities have the boats, arrangements of tackles and so on. In a nut shell, it will be sheer pleasure if you really into the sports fishing. Apart from that, for more adventurous types, the wild pig hunting as well as different levels of escapades are awaits you, want to try?

My fantastic Thai Barramundi experience

Travel and food are two different words but they feel like one to me. I’m a complete foodie and love to experiment different cuisines especially at the places they are famous. This love brings together both my passions; travelling and enjoying beautiful food.

My latest visit was a beautiful country with a vast history rooted in beautiful culture and traditions. Siam as it was called years ago, the enchanting Thailand. It has everything one can think of; religion, food, sports, education, landscape, entertainment. You name it you have it.

I had a wonderful time and enjoyed a great fishing charter experience. I went to a great place for fishing and the best part was I could catch and eat my own quarry. With hundreds of eating joints here in Thailand it gets very easy on the pocket to bring your catch and get it cooked at a small joint for a few dollars.

My biggest catch of the day was a gorgeous barramundi or as it is called plakrapongon in Thai. It is a popular fish amongst the local Thai people and is served almost in all the restaurants. I got it cooked at a small place famous for fish. They steamed it with lime and garlic and it was awesome. Thai food is famous for the balance of flavors’ and this barramundi was a perfect example of it.

Thai people eat their food with a variety of sauces and condiments. They serve rice or noodles with all dishes. The beautiful herbs like cilantro, lemongrass, Thai basil and spices likes galangal, kaffir lime are readily available in super markets globally. As much as I enjoyed eating this fantastic cuisine, with the ingredients’ now available I’m going to love cooking it too.

Christmas Island fishing is best known for its bonefish.

As summer is down the lane, I am deciding on where to head for a perfect angling adventure. As me and my family is all set to hit the road I have taken up the responsibility to find a perfect destination where we can set in our fly camp. As I am the head planner, there are loads of things I have to enlist and make sure before I set off on my venture.

With detailed search on perfect angling destination I finally settled on Christmas Island fishing, the name itself was enough for an adrenaline rush in the kids. So as they were happy with the name itself I knew that this will be the apt place for us to land in as it is located amidst the central pacific, added to the fishing glory. The island is one of the 33 low lying coral atolls, best known for its bonefishes.

Angling has always been a reason for a family reunion for me, and when it came to sport fishing, I knew what better than that would make my family happy. So now I am up for packing up our backpacks, finishing some last moment work and head on for an ultimate adventure. Spending my childhood with such activities always pushed me to relive those moments, especially now with my kids.
